What is the People Field?

People field (also known as users field) allows you to add users on your account to any record on your board. That way you can assign tasks to them.

How to create a People Field on a Board

To create a Dropdown field:

  1. Click on the + symbol to the right of the last field header in the Table view.

  2. This pops up a form page, on which you click on Field type to select the People field.

  3. Input the name and description.

  4. Mark any of the boxes (Required and visible on Table ) to define special characters for the field.

  5. Then click on the submit button to append the People field to the board.

💡 Note: You can add users to the people field when you have assigned them to the board. Read the article on manage users to see how to do this.

When is a People Field Required?

Use the people field whenever you want to assign a task to a user. you can also use this field to determine which user has access to a specific pipeline or process on your board.
