What is Quabbly?

Quabbly is a simple workflow automation tool that allows you to connect the online applications you use on a daily basis for automated processes. You can automate repetitive activities without having to write code or rely on developers. Save time and get more tasks done.

Here is a great example:

If you are a vendor who receives hundreds of invoices a day via emails, it will be daunting to manually go through the emails to access these invoices; some may be lost or missed. However, you can automate the transfer of data from one app to the other by connecting Quabbly to your email account and setting it to transfer all your invoices from your Gmail to your Google Drive.

Common Quabbly terms

Here are some common terms you will encounter as you navigate through Quabbly.

Workflows

Workflows are a series of industrial, administrative, or other operations that take a piece of work from start to finish. There are single-action and multi-action workflows. Workflows may be found in a wide range of organisations and sectors. When data is shared between people and/or systems, a process is created.

What are Single-Action Workflows?

Single-Action Workflows consist of a single trigger event and a single action. That is, you automate your business process to do a single task in response to a trigger event.

What are Multi-Action Workflows?

Multi-Action Workflows consist of a single trigger event and multiple actions. That is, you automate your business process to do multiple tasks in response to a trigger event.

Trigger

A Trigger is cause for an action. They are a set of conditions that must be met in order for an action to be taken. This means that Triggers lead to Actions.

Automating your business with Quabbly will require you to set Triggers so the desired action can work.

For example, if you have a workflow which sends automated emails to your clients every time they purchase an item from you or require any of your services via Gmail.

‘Gmail-New email is received’ will be the trigger and Gmail will be the trigger app in your Quabbly account.

Action

Actions are enabled by Triggers. They are automated tasks that can be carried out for you as opposed to manual repetitive processes.

For example, if you have a workflow which notifies you via Slack every time your clients purchase an item from you via Paystack. The action will be ‘Slack-Post Message to Public Channel’.

You will see three distinct sections on your Quabbly homepage account: Boards. Workflows. Dashboard.

Boards are similar to worksheets in that it lets you organize all of your workflow, processes, and databases in one space. You can add data with a plethora of data types we have. You can also import and export data.

Workflows are a series of industrial, administrative, or other operations that take a piece of work from start to finish. There are simple and complex workflows. You can access the workflow section directly from your Homepage or from Boards.

Dashboards let you keep track of important items set apart from clutter, such as board functions, widgets, and charts. In addition to facilitating your workflow, it offers a common interface for management and communication.
