Each board you create on Quabbly comes with a function feature. Functions on the Quabbly board allow you to perform various arithmetic, average and mean operations for records on the board.
These functions work with number fields, money fields. These are usually fields that take a number value. All the functions are simply defined for numerical values, all with the exception of COUNT FUNCTION.
Board Numeric Functions
SUM | Add numeric values across a field together |
COUNT | Calculates the value of all entities across a field (not restricted to number field type) |
AVERAGE | Returns average of numbers |
MAX | Shows the number with the highest value in a field |
MIN | Shows the number with the lowest value in a field |
MEDIAN | outputs the midpoint of a sum of values across a field |
VARIANCE | shows the degree of spread of a data set on across a broad field |
STANDARD DEVIATION | Shows the root of a spread of dataset across a board field |

Step 4: if you want to perform a function operation based on a specific outcome from the field "Add a Filter option" for the field and a filter value.
Step 5: Select where you want to pin the function and input the comparative timeframe.

Pin positions, What they are?
Pin positions allow you to specify where you want the functions to be shown or whether you want to keep them permanently on temporary. They come in three forms and you are required to pick anyone before you tap the submit button.
1. Pin To Dashboard: When you select "Pin to Dashboard" the value of your function operation appears on any of your specified dashboards.
2. Pin To Board: Pin to Board allows you to showcase the value of your function operation directly on the board. You can also delete them with time.
3. Display Temporarily: this only shows a function value once. It cancels out once you click on another board.
