What is the Barcode field?
The Barcode Field allows you to generate tags for your products. That's like a unique identification for any product you have in stock so you can keep track or recognize them.
For context, the barcode field only supports the EAN Barcode which comes with 12-digit characters.
💡 Note: Using the barcode requires you to connect to a Number field with 12-digits before the barcode can be deployed
How to create a Barcode Field on a Board
Before you create a Barcode field on your board, you need to add a number field type. You can check the help tutorial on how to do that.
To create a Barcode field:
1. Click on the '+' sign to the right of the last field header (table view).
2. This pops up a form page, tap on the Field type, and select the barcode from the dropdown list.
3. Then add field names and descriptions into their respective fields.
4. Add a corresponding Number Field type to the barcode.
How it Works
The Barcode automatically generates a barcode tag based on the characters in the Number field you selected. This field is not visible on the board so you need to select each record to view or download.
When is a Barcode Field Required?
Use the barcode field when developing unique tags for the list of supply goods in stock.
