Here is a collection of all technical lingo in Quabbly and its meanings below,

  1. API key: This is a unique identifier used to connect third-party applications into Quabbly and also integrates Quabbly with compatible software.

  2. Board: A board enables you to house and organize all your workflow, process, and database. A typical board should contain many related fields, and each field houses a record of data.

  3. Board groups: Board Groups (also referred to as Workspaces) help you, segment boards, into a common category. Let's say you have different boards such as Recruitment, Employee Appraisal, Pay-slip, Employee details, you will have to place each of these boards under the board group of Human Resource Management. You can also create new boards.

  4. Calendar view: With a date field on your board, you can display your records as events on a calendar view. The calendar view allows you to look at your records based on the date and timeframe you specify.

  5. Chart view: This view presents a graphical representation of data contained in a board, With Charts, facts, and performance are crucial for decision making rather than assumptions, which can be risky.

  6. Dashboard: is a tool that helps to take charge of your business insights, analytics, and reports, it allows you to organize, store and display important data(records, charts ) from any board. It is useful for getting a general overview of your activities.

  7. Fields: Fields are a collection of interrelated records. They are represented as columns and contain related data from different records. Besides they are the foundational aspect of a board.

  8. Kanban view: The Kanban view on Quabbly allows you to visualize your workflow in form of movable stack cards. This view is often associated with a particular field usually dropdown and allows your workflow to be moved between different options or values for the dropdown field.

  9. Map view: If you have a location field with addresses on the Quabbly board, you can convert your default board view to a map view. With this view, you can display your records on Google Maps. You can achieve this without the need to integrate Google Map API - we have set that for you. So, if you are in a logistics business or deal with real estate, this view will come in handy to check different addresses on Google Map.

  10. Permissions: The action of officially allowing someone to do a particular thing; consent or authorization.

  11. Profile: The profile of a user comprises settings and information related to them. This is the explicit representation of an individual's identity concerning their operating environment, which could be a particular operating system, software application, or website.

  12. Records: is a collection of data of different field types usually in rows, typically in a fixed number and sequence.

  13. Roles: The function assumed or part played by a person or thing in a particular situation.

  14. Table view: This is the default view type on Quabbly and it's similar to spreadsheets with rows and columns respectively. The rows represent records, while columns represent fields on the Quabbly board. With this view, Records are shown as a list of items. in fact, it's best suited for data interpretation and allows the orderly arrangement of data.

  15. Team: A team is a group of individuals working together to achieve a goal.

  16. User account: A user account is a way for a user to access information services and/or computer networks. Accounts determine whether or not a user can connect to a computer, network, or similar network. A user account is one of the best ways to authenticate to a system and gain access to its resources.
